Day 1. Arrive Delhi
The journey in India will commence with your arrival at Delhi International Airport. Our agent will receive you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for a comfortable stay in Delhi.
Day 2. Delhi
Begin you day with authentic Indian breakfast at the hotel and then proceed for the sightseeing tour of the city. Starting from the Old Delhi, you will visit the formidable Red Fort and get the feel of Mughal architecture, the famous mosque – Jama Masjid and the bustling Chandni Chowk; here you will get an opportunity to taste some popular street delicacies. You will also explore the towering Qutub Minar built in red sandstone and carved with verses of Quran, spectacular Bahai Temple built in the shape of Lotus and other notable sites of the city. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 3. Delhi – Dharamshala
Dharamshala, a popular hill town, will be the next destination in the Culinary Tour of India. Upon reaching the place check in to the hotel and relax. The remaining day is at your leisure which you spend admiring the scenic beauty of the place. Overnight in Dharamshala.
Day 4. Dharamshala
Being the residence of Tibetan spiritual guru, Dalai Lama, the place comprises a significant population of Tibetans and many beautiful Tibetan monasteries are situated here. The Namgyal Monastry, situated near the Dal Lake and surrounded by thick forests is a popular tourist spot. Later visit McLeodganj which is hub of Tibetan culture, handicrafts and temples. Return to your hotel in evening and relish local specialty for dinner.
Day 5. Dharamshala – Kangra Valley – Dharamshala
From Dharamshala you will depart for Kangra Valley in the morning enjoying the picturesque scenes on the way. The valley comprises many attractive sightseeing spots such the Kangra fort and the Tibetan museum constructed in around 1500 BC. The place gains a spiritual significance due to the temples such the Brajeshwari Temple, Jwala Devi Temple and the Chamunda devi Temple. Have dinner followed by the sightseeing tour and drive back to Dharamshala for overnight stay.
Day 6. Dharamshala – Amritsar
After having lavish breakfast at the hotel you will be driven to the sacred city of Amritsar. On arrival check in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel. Relish the traditional Punjabi meal as dinner followed by overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7. Amritsar
Rise early to seek blessings at the revered Golden Temple- a pilgrimage site for people of Sikh religion. The temple has a tradition of community eating called ‘langar’ where you can relish the sumptuous food, prepared and served by the devotees themselves in the temple premises. Later you can explore the other highlights of the city like the Jallianwala Bagh and witness the beating the retreat ceremony at the Wagah Border. You can take Dinner at some local dhabha which is a popular eating joint in Punjabi culture.
Day 8. Amritsar – Delhi
This morning you will be driven back to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi you will be transferred to the hotel where you can spend the afternoon in leisure. In the evening you can explore the street food of Delhi which is widely popular.
Day 9. Delhi – Jaipur
From Delhi, you will be driven to Jaipur- the capital city of Rajasthan. On arrival you will be transferred to the hotel where you can rest in the afternoon. Explore the vibrant local markets of Jaipur which will compel you to take few things home. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.
Day 10. Jaipur
This morning after having breakfast you will proceed to discover the marvelous Pink City. This walled city is dotted with historical wonders like Amer Fort, Jal Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, and City Palace; these are the major tourist attractions of the city. You will be delighted to witness the striking construction, spectacular architecture and remarkable history of these monuments which will awe-inspire you and you will be compelled to visit the city again. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 11. Jaipur – Agra
This morning you will leave for the most favored tourist city- the city of Taj. On your way to Agra you will also explore Fatehpur Sikri – an erstwhile capital of Mughal dynasty which was abandoned due to scarcity of water. Spectacular red sandstone buildings like the Panch Mahal, Dargah of Sheikh Salim Chisty, Jama Masjid and few more encompass the entire city. Later, resume your drive and reach Agra and stay overnight.
Day 12. Agra
Rise early this morning to get the enchanting sight of the iconic Taj Mahal which gleams in the early rays of the rising sun. This beautiful monument adorned with striking features like carvings and latticework offers a breathtaking sight. Return to the hotel for breakfast and proceed to explore this erstwhile Mughal capital and visiting monuments that till today carry the legacy of Mughals like the Agra Fort, Moti Masjid, Mehtab Bagh, Tomb of Itimad ud Daulah and more which are specimens of various styles of architecture like Persian, Rajput and Mughals speaking high of the skills and craftsmanship of people of mighty Mughal era.
Day 13. Agra – Lucknow
This morning enjoy your sumptuous breakfast. Later you will be driven to Lucknow where on arrival take Dinner at a conventional Indian restaurant to get a taste of local flavors after which you will be transferred to the hotel for the night.
Day 14. Lucknow
This morning you will explore the city popularly known as the ‘City of Nawabs.’ Being an erstwhile royal kingdom the city displays explicit Awadhi architecture. Here you will visit Bada Imambara, Rumi Darwaza, Dr. Ambedkar’s park and Moti Mahal. After the sightseeing tour you can have Awadhi cuisine for your dinner at the hotel followed by overnight stay.
Day 15. Lucknow – Kolkata
The next stop in your journey would be Kolkata. Post breakfast you will be transferred to Kolkata where on arrival you will be transferred to the hotel where after few hours of rest you will proceed for sightseeing tour. The Howrah Bridge, Victoria Memorial, Thakurbari, Marble Palace Mansion are the places of notable interests. Overnight stay in Kolkata.
Day 16. Departure
On this day you will be escorted to the airport for your onward destination flight.
