Day 1. Arrive Cochin – Athirapally
On your arrival at Cochin airport, our representative will greet you and directly drive you to Athirapally, situated in Thrissur district of Kerala. On arrival you will be transferred to the hotel where you can enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2. Athirapally – Valparai
In the morning set off early after breakfast for a drive into the reserve forests and spot wildlife. Later visit the enchanting Athirapally Falls which can be reached through the lush green trees, winding roads and small villages. The scenic beauty of the place will leave you mesmerized. In the evening drive through the woods and reach Valparai set amidst the Anamalai hills. Overnight in Valparai.
Day 3. Valparai
Post breakfast leave the hotel to explore the tea and coffee plantations and other highlights of the place. The place even has attractive reservoirs such as Sholayar Dam and several waterfalls like Karumalai Falls and Mokey falls. The place is also home to wide variety of flora and fauna. One can easily spot elephants, leopards, Nilgiri Tahr, barking deer, Great Indian Hornbill and more. Overnight stay in Valparai.
Day 4. Valparai – Madurai
Today you will move forward in your journey and reach Madurai. In the evening you will visit the most revered Meenakshi Amman Temple situated on the banks of Vaigai River. The temple with tall pillars and high walls is a wonderful piece of architecture with highly minute construction. You will also visit Teppakulam Pond in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5. Madurai – Munnar
In the morning you will visit the opulent Tirumalai Nayak Palace erected in 17th century, Gandhi Memorial Museum and St. Mary’s Cathedral. Later you will depart for the hill station of Munnar where on arrival you will be transferred to the hotel for overnight stay. The evening is at your leisure for independent activities.
Day 6. Munnar
You will be delighted to experience the aromatic atmosphere and cool environment of Munnar. The lush green valleys and tea and coffee plantations with favorable climate made this place an attractive resort since the time of Britishers. Munnar Tea museum, Eravikulam National Park, Hydel Park, Anamudi hills, etc are major places of interest in the town which you will explore.
Day 7. Munnar – Periyar
Relish authentic south Indian breakfast and proceed for Periyar. On arrival you will be transferred to the hotel where rest of the day is at your disposal. Enjoy your stay in the picaresque town and surreal atmosphere that will win your heart.
Day 8. Periyar
Today you will explore the Periyar wildlife sanctuary situated between two important rivers of Periyar and Pamba. The place, due to its strategic location, is extremely rich in flora and fauna. It is home to a significant population of tigers and elephants and other than those- rare lion-tailed macaques, sambar deer, leopards and Indian bison are found here. As you explore the wildlife sanctuary cruising in a boat, the scenic beauty of the place will lure you. Overnight in Periyar.
Day 9. Periyar – Alleppey
Today you will be driven to Alleppey to experience the backwaters of Kerala. In Alleppey you will embark the traditional houseboat which will be a magical experience as you cruise through the backwaters zooming through the breathtaking beauty of the place. Relish your meals onboard and stay overnight in the floating villa.
Day 10. Alleppey
Zooming through the rustic life of the locals and observing the breathtaking beauty of the backwaters in the houseboat you will reach Kovalam. The experience at the houseboat would surely be unique and unforgettable one.
Day 11.Alleppey – Cochin
After spending some time in rest you can visit the popular spice market of Cochin filled with numerous exotic spices such as cloves, cardamom, ginger, turmeric, pepper and more. You can even take some spices home as souvenirs. Return to the hotel in evening for overnight stay.
Day 12. Cochin
After breakfast head to explore Cochin also referred as Queen of Arabian Sea. The city houses one of the finest harbors which even attracted the colonists and it was one of the first sites to be colonized. Take a guided tour of the city and visit the historic Fort Kochi, the Mattancherry Palace, Paradesi synagogue, St. Francis Church and see authentic Chinese Fishing nets- all these places hold immense historical wealth which you will discover. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 13. Departure
In the morning after breakfast you will be dropped at the airport from where you will board your destination flight.
